My name is Abdallah Obaid, and I am 39 years old. My family lives in Gaza. They face unimaginable hardships. Life in Gaza is not a life; it is a daily battle to survive amidst destruction, fear, and death that surrounds them on all sides.
Let me tell you about the suffering of my family, who have lost everything: their home, their source of livelihood, And our relatives ( My brother Mohammed was killed due to the brutal bombing on civilians.). My family Since October 7th, they left their house, which has since been reduced to rubble, and have not been able to return. My parents, my sister Wisam, and her three young children now live together in a single plastic tent, devoid of even the most basic necessities of life. They have been displaced more than ten times, each time hoping it would be the last and now they are in South of Gaza in Deir al-Balah , but there is no safety in Gaza—only more fear and tragedy.
My mother suffers from a chronic illness and desperately needs treatment they cannot afford. My father fell gravely ill after losing everything he had worked for—our home, his son and livelihood, and even close relatives who perished in this merciless war. My sister Wisam, a mother to three little ones—Kenzi (4 years old), Dania (2 and a half), and Essam (just 11 months old)—is doing everything she can to protect her children, but she is up against impossible odds in such unbearable conditions.
Imagine three small children growing up without a home, suffering from hunger, shivering through freezing winter nights in a plastic tent, and enduring the scorching heat of summer. Fear is their constant companion, and the deafening sounds of bombing and destruction haunt them every moment. Wisam, despite her efforts, cannot secure enough food for them or shield them from this living nightmare.
I dreamed of seeing Kenzi go to school, hearing Dania laugh without fear, and watching Essam grow up in a safe home far from destruction. But these dreams now seem impossible. Life in Gaza has become unbearable, and escaping this nightmare requires an amount of money far beyond their reach.
I never imagined I would have to ask for help, but now I am pleading on behalf of my family. Every small donation can make a significant difference in their lives. It can provide them with the essentials to survive, ease their suffering, and give Wisam’s children a chance at a life free from hunger and fear.
Please, help my family. Together, we can bring hope to those who desperately need it. Every contribution brings them closer to a life of dignity—a life that every human being deserves.
