Urgent Plea: 11 Lives, Help My Family Escape Gaza’s Horror

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sanaa Abdalrahim, and I live in Belgium alone with my daughter Julia , far from my family of 11 in Gaza. They are my heart and soul, and every day, I carry the pain of knowing what they endure while I can only watch helplessly from a distance.

My family has lost everything—their home, their work, and their sense of safety. They are now living in a partially destroyed shelter, constantly moving from one unsafe place to another, trying to find safety in a land where none exists.

Meet My Family

My family consists of:
1. Al Sayed (my father) and Noha (my mother).
2. My brothers: Mohamed, Ahmed, Mahmoud, Yasser, Mustafa, Qusay, and Waseem.
3. My sisters: Hanaa and Dalal.

Each of them has faced unimaginable challenges:
• Mohamed is a lawyer who lost his office and his ability to work. His dream of helping others through his legal practice has been destroyed by
the war.
• Ahmed and Mahmoud, who worked alongside my father, Sayed, in the car restoration business, lost their workshop—their primary source of income.
• Hanaa and Dalal, talented Design , lost their workspace and tools, leaving them unable to continue their careers.
• Yasser, my brother with dreams of studying in Germany after achieving an exceptional score of 94% in his high school exams, now faces the grim reality of an uncertain future.
• Mustafa, Qusay, and Waseem, the youngest in our family, have lost their school, their friends, and their childhood.

Their crises and suffering did not end here, but there is much more that I cannot find the lines to talk about. My Family in Crisis

The war has left my family physically and emotionally exhausted. My youngest brother, Waseem, wakes up crying every night, haunted by the trauma of the bombings. His only joy was his bicycle, but even that was destroyed, leaving him with nothing but one wheel—a heartbreaking reminder of what he has lost.

The children now have to stand in long lines to fetch water or search for scraps of wood to light a small fire and cook a basic meal. My father, Sayed, spends his days searching for anything affordable to feed the family, but skyrocketing prices in Gaza make survival almost impossible.

Hunger has become a constant companion. There are nights when the family goes to bed without eating, with no choice but to endure the pain of empty stomachs. With no heating, they shiver through the cold nights, wrapping themselves in whatever they can find.

The lack of electricity, clean water, and proper shelter has left them vulnerable to illness and despair. Every time they find a temporary place to stay, it’s either destroyed or they are forced to leave due to threats of bombing.

How Will the Funds Be Used And How Your Support Can Make a Difference

My family’s only hope now is to leave Gaza and seek refuge in Egypt, where they can rebuild their lives in safety and dignity. Your donations will help:
1. Cover travel and legal arrangements for safe passage across the Rafah border.
2. Provide temporary housing to give them a secure place to stay.
3. Supply food, water, and clothing to meet their most basic needs.
4. Support education for my younger brothers and Yasser, so they can regain a sense of hope and normalcy.
5. Address medical needs caused by malnutrition and harsh living conditions.

Why Your Help Matters

This is not just a plea for help—it is a cry for survival. My family isn’t asking for comfort or luxury; they’re simply asking for safety and the chance to live with dignity.

Even the smallest act of kindness can make a world of difference. Your support will help my family escape this nightmare and start anew. Please, if you can, donate or share their story.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being their hope in this dark time.

With love and gratitude,
Sanaa Abdalrahim
