Local Family Loses Everything in House Fire
Spende geschützt
On the afternoon of December 8, 2019, Jeffrey Feliciano received a phone call from his oldest daughter that their house was on fire and that she was stuck inside. He rushed home to find his house burning down. Thankfully, his daughter was able to safely exit the house due to the quick thinking of a kind neighbor. However, the fire resulted in a total loss. There was nothing that could be salvaged. This family was left with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
At this time, I am asking for donations for the Feliciano family. Jeffrey Feliciano retired just last year after 34 years serving in the army and his wife of 25 years, Lucy, has faithfully served beside him in every way that she could. They have a son, and two daughters residing here in Columbus- Brian, Celina, and Ashley Feliciano. Celina is currently enrolled in college and Ashley is attending high school. The girls have lost everything near and dear to them.
This family has to rebuild from the ground up. They have lost their home, their furniture, their clothes, their hygiene products, their electronics, and everything else. Donating even just $5 is enough to buy a bottle of shampoo and help provide this family with the basic creature comforts that they have lost.
These are some of the best people I have ever met in my life. This is a family that has served our country and our community for many years. They are natives of Puerto Rico and have no family in the area other than their son and daughters. Please lend a hand in helping this kind, selfless, gracious family get back on their feet.
It is so appreciated. I have provided a link to a short article regarding the fire.
Edited to add: The Feliciano family were renting their house and unfortunately did not have renter's insurance.
