Lia’s Fight From Victory
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Amy and I have set up this account on behalf of my one and only sister, Lia. At 45 years young, on October 13, 2022, Lia was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC Breast Cancer). This day was DAY 1 of what she’s calling "Fight FROM victory for His honor and glory!" “God’s people don’t simply fight for victory, but FROM victory, because the Lord has already won the battle.”
On November 30, 2022, Lia will undergo a bilateral mastectomy with preparation made for reconstruction to take place in the spring of 2023. Until the first surgery takes place and additional testing, we will not know the full extent of her cancer stage and treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, medication, etc.).
What we do know…this road will be long with substantial financial burdens. Lia and her husband, Phil, are a hardworking 2 household income family of 4. Their oldest daughter, Gaby is trying to pay her way through college working multiple jobs. Soon Lia will have to take unknown periods of time off of work. With a high deductible insurance plan and the expectation to meet the maximum out of pocket this year and next, the financial stressors are already mounting daily. We would love for Lia to be able to focus on her health and healing during this time rather than the burden of piling medical bills.
Here is also what we know…..We know Lia’s faith is strong and unshaken. We know she is equipped fully for the battle ahead and God is growing her testimony. We know God is our ultimate Provider and Healer. We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. We know His plan is perfect.
Lia has poured into others countless times over the years, sharing her story of strength and perserverance, her knowledge of health and fitness, but most importantly, her love for God and how He has made her new and whole. She has done all this with kingdom purpose out of the Father's love that lives within her heart. Lia truly lives out Matthew 6:33:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Many of you have asked how you can help. First and foremost - PRAYER. God says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Lia has been a prayer warrior for many and the power of prayer cannot be underestimated. Please join her and her family as they walk into this fight FROM victory.
Secondly, if you feel led, we have this account set up for donations. All donations will go directly to Lia’s medical expenses and expenses incurred while she is off work. While the family is faithful in knowing that God provides, sometimes that comes in the form of putting people in your life for "such a time as this." Through your help, perhaps the financial burdens of this battle may be relieved in an effort to help Lia focus on the Lord and His work throughout this journey. Every little bit does help! If you are unable to donate, we would love if you could please share Lia’s story.
We promise to provide updates throughout Lia’s journey. You can find these updates on her CaringBridge site -
On behalf of myself, Lia, the Hasier family, and extended family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God bless you.
