Help Find Jordan Naterer

Donation protected
My brother Jordan Naterer is a recent graduate from the Electrical Engineering Master's program at the University of British Columbia,. He went missing on a hike in Manning Park, BC, and was last seen on Oct. 10, 2020. Jordan told me as well as some friends in Vancouver that he had planned to do a solo hike that weekend. When he didn’t show up for Thanksgiving dinner with friends on Monday Oct. 12, we immediately knew something was wrong. He was reported missing on Oct. 13, the morning after he didn’t show up for the dinner. His car was found parked at the Frosty Mountain trailhead where he is believed to have started his hike. After someone reported seeing Jordan on the trail on Oct. 10, the search focused on that area. His cell phone signal was picked up in the Windy Joe area at around 12:30 pm. On October 18th, my parents were informed by the Vancouver police department and search and rescue team that they have exhausted all avenues for searching and have made the decision to suspend the search.

This fundraising effort allows us to continue searching for Jordan through private search and rescue, helicopter and drone companies. Each day with a search team and helicopter, or fixed wing aircraft, has a cost of between $7,000 - $13,000 depending on the area and activity. We have tried to figure out ways to reduce costs with helicopters, drones, etc. but it's very expensive because search areas are difficult to access, it requires skilled professionals, aerial imagery is complicated, and some areas involve searches beyond the USA / Canada border. We are very grateful to all generous donors for the amount of money we have raised so far. The fundraising is allowing the search to keep going and we hope to continue until we find Jordan even as costs continue through the winter. We are going to do everything we can to bring Jordan home. We are not giving up. This fundraising is so important to help us keep the search going through the winter. We have so many incredible volunteers helping out as well in other ways to find clues from the imagery. When strong clues are found, we need the helicopters to take searchers on the ground. If you are able to donate, it would help my family to continue searching for my brother. Any support, large or small, would be greatly appreciated!
