Help Save Puppies From Parvo!

PUPPIES FIGHTING PARVO: We have 9 four-month old German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees puppies who have contracted Parvo, and we are working hard to ensure they survive. Two have been hospitalized so far. The rest are being treated in our foster facility, but are very likely to need hospitalization soon. The pups are large (about 40 pounds) and well fed, and the first pup to contract the disease appears to be recovering well, so we believe that all the pups will recover eventually. However, it will be an expensive journey, even with the discounted services provided by our local vet. In most areas in California and Oregon, treating a parvo puppy costs about $5,000 apiece. However, with our skilled volunteer giving round-the-clock care with the advice and assistance of our local vet, we hope to get the pups all the care they need for a total of $5,000. The problem is, this is a huge amount of money for our small rescue. Please help us help them by donating to this effort. Thank you!
ABOUT US: The High Plateau Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the only organization in Modoc County, California, that rescues and re-homes dogs and cats from our local public shelters and community. We work with our local vet to ensure there are low-cost options available for residents to help spay and neuter pets, as well as receive needed shots, and we provide no-interest loans to help pets of low-income families afford basic and emergency health care. In addition, we have a free pet food pantry for extremely low income families, and provide assistance with spaying and neutering feral cats.
