Officer Down

Brownsville Police officer Andrew Lee was injured early Saturday morning while attempting to assist in a pursuit of an attempted murder suspect. Officer Lee was attempting to place stop sticks while blocking the lane keeping unaware motorists out of harms way. The suspect lost control of the vehicle at a very high rate of speed striking Officer Lee’s patrol car. Officer Lee was flown to the Med to be treated for his injuries. The injuries obtained will prevent him for returning to work for an unknown amount of time. Officer Lee will only be receiving a portion of his pay during his recovery.

I’m asking the community to come together and help. I will also be organizing a fund raiser to help Officer Lee and his family. If anyone is interested in helping with the fund raiser, we will be accepting items for auctions and we will also need food vendors. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.
