On Monday, May 16, 2016, the Xiong family lost our mother Xai Neng Vue to a tragic car accident. She was on her way to visit our late brother’s wife and children, but she never arrived. This sudden loss to our family is beyond all of us. She was a mother of sixteen children, and a beloved grandmother to twenty-four grandchildren. Her love was boundless—her spirit and persistence, immeasurable. She was devoted to her children’s educational success and a committed friend and neighbor to her community. She worked hard and countless hours to provide for her family near and far. Many knew our mother for her incredible generosity and selflessness. Her strong presence graced the lives of many. We mourn her loss deeply.
The Xiong family has received many losses the past two years. Our eldest brother lost his life to a rare cancer on June 4, 2014. He left behind his wife and three young children. Then on December 12, 2015, our uncle passed away from liver cancer. Words fail to describe the heaviness in our hearts as we now meet the sudden death of our mother. As we prepare to send off and guide her spirit, we ask friends, family, and strangers near and far to please help contribute any amount to her funeral; no amount is too small. For each contribution, we ask that you leave your name so that our family can bow in honor for your support. Our family would immensely appreciate your help during this difficult time.
