Xander’s Cancer Journey #XandersVillage
Donation protected
It's never easy to hear that someone is sick, especially a child. But that is why I am writing this, to talk about baby Xander and his beautiful family. Xander is a sweet baby boy who just turned 1-year-old, only days ago. What should have been a day of fun and celebration became a day of the most difficult news a parent can hear. During his birthday celebration, Xander had the first of many seizures. He was rushed to the hospital where they found out that this precious boy has a very large tumor in the center of his brain. The doctors believe it is cancer. Tomorrow the surgeons are going to attempt to resect the tumor. Please pray for Xander and his family.
Xanders's family are friends of mine, but more family than friends, the kind of family you choose to have. They are people of faith and generosity. They have overcome many struggles put in their path, but they need a village for this one. A village of prayer and charity. As they navigate their sweet boy's care, they will need our help. I am sure that the financial implications have not even crossed their minds yet, and I don't want that to be something they have to worry about. The road they have ahead of them will be hard enough. They have 2 other boys at home, and of course, life and bills will keep coming. I am asking that we be their village and rally around them in their time of need. Let's help with financial donations so that they can focus on being at their baby's bedside, giving him the love he needs more than ever and not worrying about being able to keep a roof over their heads, or the what I imagine will amount to a mountain of medical bills to get paid.
I am doing this with their permission while respecting their privacy.
I ask for help for this beautiful young family in the spirit of the season.
