Xavian's Road to Recovery

UPDATE: As we are coming up on the 1 year anniversary of Xavian’s accident we are so thankful at how far he has come. He has met every obstacle head on and he has refused to give up. However the need for this family is still great as the medical bills have stacked up and months of work was missed by his parents to help him with his lengthy recovery. As time goes on and Xavian continues to grow and triumph there is still ongoing medical costs for his prosthetic leg as well as physical therapy. Now more than ever this family could use our continued support.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Harris family is a close-knit family with 2 very hardworking parents and 6 children. Right now they could use our love and support as they focus on the recovery of their 16 year old son, Xavian.

Xavian is a very respectful and loving young man. He was a good student who was extremely active in his school sports. He was on the MP swim team, wrestling team, and football team. He is loved by all of his classmates and friends. His siblings think the world of him as he is always taking time to be the best brother he can be. In his spare time he volunteered in his community and went to work helping his dad with landscaping.

On Tuesday afternoon, 7/25, Xavian had an accident involving a firework. His injuries are very extensive including the amputation of his right lower leg. He will be in the hospital for a good amount of time and then once he is released he will need a lot of extra care. This not only is going to create an abundance of medical bills but both his parents are going to need to take time off from work to care for him.
