Xaviera's Dream Home

Hello, I'm Michelle Carey, a Realtor with Dale Sorensen Real Estate. I have a very special buyer that needs a helping hand right now. She has been through so many events in her life such as the death of her husband and mother on the same day while she was 7 months pregnant. Later she was involved with an abusive man who kicked her and her daughter out and she had to live in her car. He threw all her belongings out. For the last 2 years she has been staying with a friend, she and her 14 yo old sleeping on mattresses in the living room.

She became a CNA and works in a elderly persons home. She's been saving everything she could to be able to buy a home for her 14 and 21 year old daughters to feel safe in. She was also helping her 21 year old daughter with school payments to become a dental hygenist.

We found the perfect home and went under contract that day. She was soooo excited and said she wanted to take ME to dinner when it closed. Since she didn't have much money we put in the offer that 5k would be given to her for closing costs. Unfortunately the home didn't appraise so she couldn't get the help she needed. She was devastated as she watched her dream disintegrate before her eyes. I was working with the lender to see what credits he could give and I was planning to make up the difference.

I told her I thought we could still make it work for her. She asked me if there was a Washer and Dryer. There isn't. It popped into my head that my fellow agents might know of some excess inventory of washers, dryers and everything else that she needs. All she has is 2 mattresses, some kitchen dishes and clothes. I wrote an email to my fellow Dale Sorensen agents and employees to help provide for this wonderful woman and her daughters. They have been amazing with the eagerness to help!

My goal is to get her into this home with it all furnished and a mortgage payment or two paid for to take the stress off of her. Please help to bless Xaviera in a gigantic way we will be so grateful!
