Xavier Healy World Merit Conference

We wish to raise funds for our son, Xavier to enable him to attend the 2017 World Merit 360 Conference to be held in the United Kingdom, at the University of Chester, from August 26th. to 12th. of September.
= also for Xavier's Future Education.

Xavier was chosen to represent Australia at this World conference and will meet and work with 360 global changemakers from every corner of the world. 

This is a very exciting time for us to share with everyone this major achievement.   

We, as a Family are very limited in our finances, so after two months of deliberation and planning we found we cannot do this alone so as of July 18th ......
We are asking for your help in this fundraiser to enable Xavier to travel to London to attend this 12 day event. 
Any donation, no matter how small will go a long way in helping Xavier get to the United Kingdom.

World Merit 360 is a special opportunity to work with passionate young people from all over the world to create a positive impact in Quality Education and Equal Opportunity for Every Person Worldwide.
Xavier will be working with the United Nations to create an Action Plan for their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 

Xavier will travel to the United Kingdom to the University of Chester before presenting his plan at the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

Delegates need to raise £3000 (GBP) equivalent to  $5000(AUS) OR $3800 (USA) to benefit the full advantages that the conference offers.
On top of this amount Xavier needs more funding to cover Fares and Travelling and Future Educational Expenses.

About Xavier.
Xavier was born in Ouyen, went to school at  Ouyen P-12 College in rural Victoria,  Australia, and has worked as an advocate for rural education in Australia.
He is passionate about the benefits found in receiving a quality education. 

He has had amazing teachers throughout his schooling who have helped get him to where he is today.
Xavier was fortunate enough to achieve his dream of studying at the University of Melbourne while Living On Campus at Ormond College.
What a unique and life changing experience it has been for him.
His aim is to contribute to the movement towards reform in international education systems.

== Project Manager at Rural Inspire.
He is helping to develop 'Rural Inspire', a multi-platform initiative designed to expose rural youth to new ideas and to encourage them to pursue their goals.
It now has an online presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the website link is at Ruralinspire .

Moving into the future, they are developing various linked initiatives - such as a University Network and Leadership Workshops - to widen the aspirations of rural Victorian youth.

Xavier has accommodation in residence at Ormond College and has been heavily involved in the Activities and Societies within Ormond College.


Xavier hopes to major in a mixture of World Politics, Media and Communication, International Relations, Industrial Relations, Law

== Project Lead Management Committee.
Victorian Government. 
January 2014 – October 2014.
In this role, Xavier was a Project Lead. He had a role in casting, script writing, videography and marketing.
With other youth from his hometown Ouyen, and with the support of Regional Arts Victoria and their Mallee Up In Lights extravagnza , they  produced a short film The Great Ouyen Zombie Apocalypse with the express aim of boosting interest in the Arts.

The newly revealed Roxy Theatre premiered the screening of the highly anticipated Great Ouyen Zombie Apocalypse created in Ouyen by local students and community members.
Building on community assets and aspirations, the Mallee Up in Lights project has created a new outdoor performance space, light installation and community garden at the iconic Roxy Theatre – the Jewel of the Mallee

They act as a student voice on issues affecting rural students in Victoria, Australia.
They advocate their views to various groups, including the major Australian political parties, the public service, the private sector, and their home schools & communities and have also enacted various initiatives, including 
Rural Inspire and the Rural Education Conference ."

 Assisted patrons during the Davis Cup tie between   Australia and the United States at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club and at the Australian Tennis Tournament.

With the Emmy-nominated 1440 Productions, Xavier managed the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the casting period of their new series, Agents of Change."
