Aiden's Future
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Melissa. I am setting up this fund to help my sister Kristy and her 2-year-old son Aiden.
Adam's Story:
On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, their lives were forever turned upside down. Adam, my sister's husband at the age of 34 suffered a massive heart attack. He was home at the time with Aiden while Kristy was out with me and our mother. He managed to call 911 and contact a close friend to sit with Aiden while he was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital for his condition. As soon as he arrived the hospital prepped him for surgery to unblock 2, 100% blockages of the major arteries of his heart. Unfortunately, Adam coded on the operating table. While he was in critical condition they were able to stabilize him enough to hopefully transport him to a better-equipped hospital. The weather that evening was foggy and rainy which delayed and ultimately canceled any air travel. As hours passed and many questions unanswered Adam was transported by Life Support Ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital where they were able to assess the severity of Adam's condition. The doctors were stunned and worried, just as much as Kristy, and I as we sat there waiting for any glimpse of hope. They came up with a plan to do more surgeries to hopefully allow Adam and his heart to rest.
Friday, April 8, 2022, Kristy got a call early in the morning that surgeries were successful for his heart but there were concerns about Adam's brain activity. Adam's body had been through so much trauma that after some time the brain began to swell and with that swelling came less and less brain activity. By 10 pm, Adam was gone.
Kristy, family, and friends are devastated by Adam's death. The funds from this fundraiser will go towards Aiden's future and will be deposited into a minor's investment account.
We are truly grateful for any donation you can make.
