The Horton Family

Donation protected
Our community was saddened and shocked by the recent sudden passing of Scott Horton on Oct 13th, 2023. Scott was only 52, and leaves behind 4 children- Sydney, Gavin, Luke and Dylan. The Horton family has weaved in and out of many of our lives, whether thru school, religious community, work, neighborhood or friendships. Jaime and the kids are struggling and this is one way we can help to get them on their feet finding their new normal.

As many of you know, Scott had a very complicated medical history. Looking at him, you’d never know as he appeared youthful and healthy, but he overcame so many setbacks. His first major stroke occurred when he was in his 30s, during which time rehabilitation took over a year. Unrelated, he underwent a kidney transplant in his 40s, and just last year suffered another stroke. All of these medical expenses have been a huge burden on the family, they lost a tremendous amount financially, and they have never been able to catch up. This go fund me will help the family pay for funeral and autopsy expenses, medical debt and any small amount left can help to contribute to college expenses. Scott was the primary financial earner, and it will take some time for Jaime and the boys to adjust and figure things out. Relieving them from some of these costs would make a huge difference in moving forward. Thank you for extending love and support to the Horton family.
