Robin's cancer journey.

Family and friends that are family-

Life has been kind of crazy the last two months. Robin has begun her chemo treatments and has them every 14 days for the next 2-3 months, she has been managing day to day life, but has to take it very easy 4-5 days after chemo for healing. Her worst symptom to date is her interaction with cold. She is unable to touch, taste, or be in cold temperatures. That lasts for about 10 days after each treatment, but it could be worse. She will move on to radiation and more chemo for about two months, and then hopefully finish out with another 2-3 months of chemo treatments. After all of the treatments, she will have all of the scans and imaging redone and hopefully the cancer is gone or has at least shrunk significantly to avoid the surgery.

Hello, this fundraiser is for our amazing friend Robin Laubscher. Robin has been recently diagnosed with colorectal cancer. She is in the beginning of her journey, navigating lots of appointments and understanding what everything means and what is to come.

Right now they are unsure of what insurance will cover but there has already been several copays and lots of traveling to and from appointments requiring out of pocket costs.

Those of you who know this family, know how selfless and kind they are and how much they give to this community as a teacher (Robin) and as a pastor (Garrett), and to their friends and family.

We will update here as more is learned and Robin knows exactly what her next steps are. She does know radiation and chemotherapy are in her future.
