Simko Family Support

Donation protected
My name is Breanne and I am a friend of the Simko family.

Many of you know that Bob Simko was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in November of 2018. At that time his bone marrow was producing 96% cancer cells. They gave him 6 months or less to live.

It was during that time, he decided, "I'm choosing life." From that day forward, words never left their mouths that didn't affirm his complete healing. He became dedicated to the fight and relied on his great faith. They continued to fight and he went into remission for about a year, until he relapsed in July 2021.

He served active duty for the U.S. Navy for 10 years. 6 of those years were aboard nuclear submarines. His bunk was stationed right on top of nuclear weapons. The military, looking at his medical prognoses, determined that exposure to nuclear weapons was the cause of his cancer. They have identified the cause to be service-related. However, because they will not deem it service-connected, he's been denied disability. What this means is, his chemotherapy has been covered by Insurance, but none of his Integrative care has been. They have been fighting for disability for 4 years.

They have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on naturopathic medicines to help combat the effects of chemo, none of which is covered by insurance. They have had to deplete savings, max out credit cards, and use other resources to purchase equipment and many other things to provide for Bob's care.

Although we knew his passing was a possibility, he took a very quick turn for worse in the past 4 days. This was completely unexpected and the family is devastated.

He leaves behind his wife Kimberlee & their 2 children, Zachary & Alexis.

I am asking that the same community who witnessed FAITH in action from the Simko family, who have been inspired by Bob's fight, who have been blessed by the Simko's resilience, and who have been touched by his journey of the #faithCONQUERSfear movement; surround them with love, prayers and a little relief. If you feel led in any way to contribute to aid them with some relief in the days ahead, it is truly appreciated it.

Also, please consider donating here in lieu of flowers or food to the family, as this will be the biggest benefit to them at this time.
