An urgent plea from Gaza, Help our family escape death.
Donation protected
I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart, asking for your help during a time of urgent need. My name is Ali Alghoul. For almost 14 years, I’ve been a Civil Engineer in Gaza, reconstructing what was destroyed in earlier conflicts. Now, I’m on a mission of a different kind: to secure a safe future for my family amidst the chaos that surrounds us.
The urgency and need to rescue my family are greater than my resilience, and I am desperately seeking your generous support to help our family not ONLY to escape death and rebuilt our new a normal life out of Gaza but also an opportunity for my parents to get the immediate medical care they need right away. My mother suffers from a broken hip beside colon cancer and also my father suffered several strokes, weakened heart muscles, and blockages in the arteries.
This support will help us to rebuild our normal life outside Gaza, opening a door to a potential new beginning for us. However, the financial burden of moving a family of our size across the world is overwhelming. We face not only the costs of visas and travel and expenses of my parents’ treatments but also but also the daunting task of rebuilding our lives from scratch in a new country, including ensuring a quality education for the children.
Our home, once filled with laughter and love, now bears the scars of war. I lost my job as program coordinator for Gaza household WASH program which is suspended due to situation, my father's accounting and auditing office lies in ruins, erasing years of hard work and dreams.
NOW I’m volunteering in the different activities to help displaced people at Rafah, but now I’ve come to a point where I’m desperate and I URGENTLY and humbly ask you to help me save my family’s life by getting them out of Gaza since there’s no SAFE place in Gaza due to slow deaths by hunger, dehydration, displacement, the spreading of illnesses and the ongoing bombings. Choosing to leave is a very painful decision to make, but the situation has become untenable.
In the midst of this devastation, my family stands a diverse group of 7 individuals, each with their own stories and hopes for the future. My father, Salah Alghoul, 70, is a man of wisdom and strength, having guided us through many of life’s storms. My mother, Fatima Alghoul, 60, has been the heart of our family, her resilience and care knitting us together through the toughest times. My super girl Kenzy is turning 7 next May, my little angel Kenda,6, has the kindest heart in the world. My superhero Salah, 4, who dreams of becoming an astronaut fly between the stars. My wife Asma Alghoul, 32, is passionate science teacher who has supported me throughout our live.
we faced a series of painful challenges. In 2008, but we didn't let that break our will to persevere, so we rebuilt it again. In 2012, my mother was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and after a long treatment journey, she recovered. Unfortunately, in 2020 cancer returned but this time it infected her with colon cancer which still being treated for it till now, and on top of that, in 2021, my mother’s foot slipped and a fracture occurred in the left hip joint.
Because her condition was urgent, we had to send her to Egypt for treatment at our own expense, which cost a lot of money. In 2022, unfortunately again, my mother slipped again and broke the other hip joint in the second leg. and because the treatment expenses were high last time, we tried to treat here at government expense out of Gaza, but we had to wait a long time to wait for treatment outside Gaza, and since then we have been waiting... We waited for a long time, and my mother has not been able to walk since then, and now she needs a hip joint replacement in Egypt as soon as possible ... moreover My father also suffered a severe health crisis, as he suffered several strokes, weakened heart muscles, and blockages in the arteries, now my father needs an urgent operation at Egypt to place a heart stent.
The urgency of our situation cannot be overstated. With tensions escalating and the threat of further escalations in Rafah looming, I am desperate to relocate my family to safety before it’s too late. This appeal for help is not made lightly; it is a plea for compassion and assistance in our time of dire need.
It’s been 6 months of hell and horror. This genocide has been too long to bear, and our mental health and lives are in constant danger. We have reached a point where there is no hope left for us here in Gaza where we are unfortunately just waiting for our turn to die and even if there is a ceasefire, the destruction in Gaza is beyond prompt repair.
Your support would enable us to cover the essential costs of our journey and resettlement but also to treatment of my mum and dad's. It’s not just a donation; it’s a lifeline, offering us a chance at a new life away from the fear and uncertainty that has clouded our existence for too long. It’s an investment in the future of our children, providing them with the educational opportunities they desperately need and deserve.

They will not add the names until we can prove we have the money ready.
