Hi, my name is Matt.

My little brother Brent moved to Hawaii a few years ago and has worked very hard building a business as a contractor. He purchased an excavator and tools as well as a home.

all of these things burned down in a vicious wildfire recently, destroying his net worth and putting him in a spot where he, his girlfriend, and his 2 year old son are now forced to scrape by.

I set the goal at $5,000 as a way of modestly helping him stay on his feet and provide for his family as they struggle to find a new place to stay and keep fed, but he lost significantly more than that, so I'm hoping to see how much we can do for him.
