Kevin Houtz Funeral & Expenses
Donation protected
I know most of you have heard, but our brother Kevin Houtz passed away at 29 years old. He left behind Stephanie, his young wife, and Kazlie, his two and a half year old daughter. On Monday night he went to bed and stopped breathing. He was rushed to the hospital where he was placed on life support. For two days he fought, but the damage was too much for his body to handle. His brain had swollen due to the lack of oxygen and brain death was pronounced on Wednesday, June 17th at 4:04PM. For those of us who had the privilege of knowing Kevin, he was a loving, caring and selfless person who would always put others before his own needs. He was always cracking jokes and constantly had a smile on his face. His selfless and giving nature prompted him to become an organ donor, and because of this, many people will be receiving priceless gifts that he has chosen to give. We hope that this choice will help to bring some meaning to his untimely death.
He was young and healthy, so no thought had been put into funeral arrangements. Because of the efforts of the doctors in trying to save his life, his medical bills will be much more than his little family will be able to bear on their own. I know that Kevin would have tried to work this out himself. That is just the kind of man he was, never wanting to burden others. I also know that there are things that you cannot do without the help and support of others. Because of this we are asking that anything you can do to help ease the burden placed on his young wife Stephanie would be appreciated. We are so grateful for all of the love and support we have received. We love you all!!!
