Help Jerry Walk Again
Donation protected
Thursday night, Jerry, the rock of his family went to the hospital thinking he had kidney stones, but that wasn't the case. Turns out he had a tumor on his adrenal gland that ruptured and he was bleeding internally. They attempted to stop the bleed, but now there seems to be complications. They are thinking he also had a stroke which is affecting both of his legs and as of right now he cannot move his right leg at all. He can wiggle his toes on his left side, but that is it. After a scare of possible risky surgery, God blessed us and the internal bleeding stopped without needing surgery. His blood levels are great and he is off of IV's. He will be going to a regular room tomorrow and they will also be starting physical therapy. Depending on how well that goes will determine the next steps. This man is a father, husband, grandfather, provider, and rock of this family. I want you to think about what you would do in this situation. He recently started another job and his insurance has not kicked in so he is incurring major medical bills. He is currently uninsured and has been told COBRA would be $1200 a month. He is going to be out of work indefinitely. His family is hurting as well missing their main provider and supporter. Everyone is trying to come together to help, but every penny counts. First and foremost we want to make sure Jerry has everything he needs throughout this process. Leanne and Jerry need all the support they can get right now. This is a very hard time for his family and we are all struggling. He is so stressed about everything and just wants to get out of the bed and go to work. It is so hard on him and we can't get him to just relax. Jerry is going to have a very long road ahead of him. He is so concerned about finances and how they are going to make it through this. We appreciate anything you can do to help relieve some of the financial burden on him so he can focus on recovery. If everyone who visits the page donates just one dollar and shares the page it could make a major difference. I don't think it is fair for a man who has done nothing but work hard his entire life and do everything selflessly for his family to lose everything he has worked for. He can't wait to get out of that bed and get back to work, but unfortunately we have no timeline on when or how that might happen. The doctors are saying they have no way of knowing how much mobility he will be able to get back, if any. He will have to go through vigorous physical therapy and will need support and prayers. God has been with us this far and He isn't going anywhere. He will continue to make improvements and He'll figure out the finances. I can't stand watching this man suffer, he truly doesn't deserve this. We don't know the reason for this, but I am sure God has one. He will come out stronger and prevail, he just needs a little help. Anything you can do to help is appreciated to relieve some of the stress of the financial burden on Jerry and his family.

Jerry has been working for 3 long months in rehabilitation and there is still a long road ahead. He has multiple physical therapy sessions each week. He is determined to walk again. Unfortunately Jerry is unable to bring in any type of income right now since he is still healing and working to get back his mobility. They are trying to get him on disability, but the approval can take up to a year. This family needs help now. The medical bills are piling up. He still has copays to meet in order to get the treatment he needs. This is all on top of the things needed just to survive; housing, groceries, transportation, etc. We are all trying to come together as a family to help Jerry and his wife Leanne, but it just isn't enough. We need help. They need help. Please think what if this was your dad, or brother, or son? How would you manage? Truth is, you couldn't. They are just trying to scrape by at this point, and Jerry really doesn't need the extra burden right now. He should be able to focus on recovery. Please look into your heart and give them a hand. God bless.
