Help for Arthur

Hello, my name is Heather with Sniffing Snouts Pit Bull Rescue. We are running out of time and are in desperate need of funds for Arthur. We need enough money to get him into boarding no later than Oct 2, 2021. He will be boarded until we can raise enough money to get him into a board and train program.

 

Arthur's adopters have scheduled him euthanized on Oct 2. According to the adopters the once "sweet and gentle" Arthur is now animal aggressive and is "unpredictable" with anyone he doesn't know and they want him out of the house ASAP. Our vet and her staff have not seen any sign of aggression and neither has the trainer the adopters used for some basic training.

 

Like so many others, our rescue was hit hard by the pandemic. We have stopped getting any donations and have exactly zero dollars. We are honestly on the verge of closing up completely. Arthur was the last dog we took into the rescue. His adopter reached out to Amy asking her to take him into the rescue and said they would foster him.

We pulled him on September 29, 2020 and now here we are one short year later trying to save him again. It breaks our hearts to think that we are at risk of failing Arthur. Getting him into boarding and then a board and train as soon as possible is our only option. He needs to be fully evaluated by a veterinary behaviorist and a trainer that specializes in behavior modification. I don't know why Arthur is acting out or where it's coming from but we need to get him the help he needs and the opportunity to succeed. We OWE him that, and so much more.
