Help Shawn Rush fight Lymphoma
Donation protected
For nearly 2 years now, Shawn has been dealing with what doctors initially thought was a fungal infection of the brain. He was treated at Cleveland Clinic with many types of medications to help his symptoms. Unfortunately, this left Shawn unable to work and their family relied solely on Cathy’s income from her job as a CNA to help them pay all of their medical bills and living expenses. Recently, Shawn has continued to experience intense neurological symptoms which ultimately caused him to be re-admitted back to Cleveland Clinic for further testing over the last couple of weeks. He underwent a nearly 12 hour long brain surgery last week and was diagnosed yesterday (April 23rd) with Lymphoma of the Brain. He will have to travel to Cleveland Clinic every 2 weeks and be admitted for 3 to 5 days at a time for treatment. He will get 4 rounds of chemotherapy and then have another scan to see if the treatments have been effective. Unfortunately, the treatments he will have at Cleveland Clinic cannot be completed at the cancer center in Charleston, WV (closer to their home) and they will have to travel of Cleveland each time. The chemotherapy drug that Shawn will be treated with is currently only used at 4 hospitals in the United States. No matter how big or small, every donation will help them pay travel and lodging expenses as will as future medical bills they will receive. Please continue to keep Shawn, Cathy, their beautiful girls and entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they fight this together.
