Hi, my name is Venus Wily, Aunt/2nd mom to Janus Tuli Afo. At 3 a.m. on Thursday, September 28th, Janus, a father of three, fell victim to a heartless drive-by shooting. In an instant, his three angels—two-year-old twins and a one-year-old—were left fatherless.

Janus was loved by many. He garnered widespread affection because of his deep love for people. Our son was a guardian, dedicated to protecting not only his family and friends but also loved ones, the vulnerable, and even strangers. He was our Protector. One of his friends shared: "Janus fought so many demons of his own but you would never know cuz he was too busy helping people fight theirs. "

Putting the needs of others ahead of his own, he transformed our home into a town shelter, constantly bringing people in because "they didn't have anywhere else to go." Waking up in a house full of strangers was a common occurrence.

He delighted in bringing joy to others through laughter. His radiant smile had the power to illuminate any room, and his boisterous, infectious laughter had a way of drawing everyone into its merriment. In a crowd, he had a knack for spotting the person standing alone and ensuring they felt warmly welcomed.
