Kenneth Wade Powell

My brother, Kenny Powell, has been diagnosed with advanced Liver Disease. He needs a Liver Transplant but it must be a deceased donor. He delayed seeking medical attention because he was uninsured. His job, with the University of Mary Washington, was classified as part-time, 29 hours w no benefits. He has been there for years hoping to eventually be made full/time.

Him and his fiancé Kim had a small backyard wedding planned for May 23rd of this year. At that time he would go on her insurance. He continued to get sicker by the day. It became evident that he would not make it to the wedding without medical attention. The wedding is postponed indefinitely. He does not want to leave his fiancé burdened with his bills.

The doctor said he will never work again. He is 54. Right now Kim is carrying the burden of the expenses. The specialist he saw recentky told him that his practice was not covered on the Affordable Care Act plan that Kenny purchased. He can not get an appointment with Social Security until mid-July.

Please help with any amount you can to alleviate the financial burden and help Kim pay the medical expenses until Kenny, hopefully, is given Social Security and Medicaid.
