Please help Nick fight cancer

Hi my name is Jessica Barnard. My brother, Nick Barnard went to the hospital on Saturday, January 21st with what we thought was going to be something simple and would be released the same day. That day turned out to be our worst nightmare. Nick was unfortunately diagnosed with a GIST tumor; in other words, GI cancer. He underwent countless tests and was moved to the main Froedtert campus where they could better treat him. There they found more spots on the liver and found he was bleeding internally. They gave him in total 9 liters of blood and 4 liters of plasma. They thought that it would stop him from bleeding and raise his hemoglobin levels but it didn’t. On Sunday, January 29th he underwent a 10 hour emergency surgery to take the tumor out. The surgery that he had was a very risky surgery. Thankfully the doctors removed the whole tumor, but he still has the 3 spots on his liver. He’s not fully out of the woods and he has a very very long road of recovery ahead of him. Nick is a father of 3 that include a 7 yr old, a 3 yr old, and a 1 month old that was just born on December 20th. Nick will be out of work for at least 2 months and with his wife, Kelsey, being a stay at home mom, will also have to take care of Nick for the next few months. This is going to leave their family with no income. Please help in anyway you can, we’d all greatly appreciate it.
