Debra's Cancer Fundraiser for Medical Bills
As some of you know, Deb recently had to undergo a very complicated and extensive surgery. She was recently diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. It is a very rare cancer, only 1 in a million people are diagnosed with it.
The timeline from her diagnosis to surgery was about two weeks, so there was not much time to prepare or plan for what was to come.
Deb had surgery on Friday, August 20th. She had to have 13 liters of fluid removed from her abdomen, they had to remove her spleen, appendix and a portion of her small intestines in order to remove all of the tumor and cancerous tissue that was present.
Her surgeon stated that the surgery ended up being even more complex than he had anticipated and the recovery time is going to be a long one. Meaning, Debra is going to be in the hospital and off work for even longer than she anticipated.
She has been in the ICU since she had the surgery but will hopefully be moved to the general floor in the next day.
Deb is going to have staggering medical bills and also regular household bills that come from being off work. We are asking for any donations that you would be willing and able to contribute to help her out as she is a single income household. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. If a monetary donation isn't possible just sharing this go fund me will be a great help.
Please continue to keep Deb in your prayers during her recovery. Thank you all.
