XHUMA - Financial education for young people in South Africa

XHUMA is one of the most traditional social initiatives of the SIM (Master in Strategy and International Management) at the HSG (University of St.Gallen), which is committed to improving school education in South Africa. The core of the initiative is the teaching of financial literacy and last year we successfully expanded our mission to include career opportunities by teaching soft and hard skills in preparation for university and further careers. Specifically, this year we will be offering information and orientation workshops from middle school onwards. Since in South Africa the choice of major in the upper school can determine whether it is even possible to pursue a degree, this project is of great importance.

How can you help us?

In order to achieve our goals, we are looking for sponsors who would like to contribute financially to our social project.

Specifically, we will use the money for teaching materials for 400 students on site, a get-together with the students' parents, and to enable part of our team to teach in person. This will provide local students with our knowledge and materials so that they can share their insights in their community even after our presence.
