Hi! My name is Xiao and I am a victim of identity fraud. It really hurts to find out that this happened because of the one person I thought cared about me, but he took advantage and lied to me several times.

My (now) ex-boyfriend (Hassan Khan A.K.A "KHANZTV") knew how much I love Japan and kept talking about wanting to go there together. He asked to take a selfie pic of me and my passport to book our flight tickets to Japan (which he showed no proof of).

Since December 2020, he told me not to open any letters that were addressed to me "because I would get upset" which I already found very suspicious! He even told me to shred the letters (trying to get rid of all the evidence, it seems). But because they were sent to my name and home address, I'd be stupid not to open them, right? So I opened them ..and that's when my world began crumbling down.

I found out that a £10,000 loan had been taken out with a bank that I am currently with, the balance was transferred to my own bank account and then immediately transferred to his bank account. He said it was to pay for a house extension my dad wanted for my house but I have never once said that I needed it! So to go behind my back like that is completely wrong! That being said, he never bought a house extension, therefore he used that money for himself (and bought gifts for people using the loan money put under my name). And because this loan is directly linked to my personal bank account, I am responsible for paying them back this loan for the next 5 years even though I never kept this money for myself.

Then I started getting letters from a bank company I'm not even with. They said I took out a £1,000 loan and have not been paying them back for months (along with the other loans and contracts), so I'm in an arrears. You can imagine my blood beginning to boil at this point ..As time went by, more surprises popped up ..I decided to check my credit report and discovered that this man took out not 1, not 2 but THREE bank loans and THREE phone contracts under my personal details totalling up to over £20,000+ .

I admit, I don't make that much money on YouTube despite being on the platform for nearly 12 years. I only earn enough for food and I get paid every 2 months because it's not easy for me to reach the minimum threshold. So I've basically been starving myself to slowly pay off the first loan because that one is directly connected to my bank account. Even if I don't pay them back, they said they can take funds out of my existing bank account (the funds I need to pay for my utility bills). So this entire situation took a toll on both my mental and physical health.

My bank informed me that an e-mail address (he made an e-mail address with my name to link to these accounts) and phone numbers were linked to my personal bank account. So whenever I'd try to change my online banking log-in, he will no doubt be notified. Thankfully, that lady helped me remove that e-mail and phone numbers from my bank account.

The second bank informed me that they can not move forward with my fraud claim because a selfie and picture of my passport was used to apply for the loan. According to their "rules", I was the one who applied for it and they can not cancel this loan. Is it seriously that easy to get a loan nowadays? I never signed for anything! This is something that should be handled in person imo.

Anyway, I later received a phone call from one of the phone companies and was informed that although we tried to transfer these phone contracts to his name ..they couldn't, because he failed his credit check (meaning that his credit score is so bad and that's why he's going around messing with my [and other women's] credit.)

He called me and warned me that his "fans" might DM me on Instagram. He said "They've been digging up your past and found a ton of info about you ..". Shortly afterwards, I had began receiving threats from 2 people on Twitter and Instagram, saying that they would "expose" me and one of them said he/she would leak my home address (That person clearly knew the first line of my address). My ex dismissed their behaviour as "They are just guessing it." ..Obviously he told them my address or that account is probably one of his sock puppets. I don't know. It feels like he is trying to push me into a corner to silence me.

I remember he told me that he has a friend who works for Nintendo and can get me all the games I wanted. So he originally asked me for £400 to help me buy all the Nintendo Switch games but I told him that I'd buy them myself slowly. Then he said he bought them for me and the games should arrive within 4-5 days. 1 month rolled by ..2 months rolled by ..and I heard nothing about it again. He also asked me to send him £20 from my Japan savings account and said he'd return the money in 2-3 days ..again, months went by and I got nothing back. He also said that his mum wanted to send me £600 for my 30th birthday (last year) and I should get it in 2-3 days ....Yep, you've guessed it. I received nothing lol. Basically all these lies kept building up until I realised I could not trust a single word this man says.

On a brighter note, I cancelled my passport which means I can not travel (that's fine, the borders are still sorta closed anyway lol). But that also means he can no longer take out any more loans under my name, so that's still a step in the right direction. :)

Updates! (July 2021)

I've received my new passport through the mail! :D

Letters from the phone company and one bank confirming that they've detected identity fraud (However, this isn't one of the 3 bank loans I was aware of ..so this could possibly be a 4th hidden loan or bank account(?) my ex applied for without me knowing.)
