The Cases Fight for Their Family
Donation protected
This Father’s Day I’m fighting for my son, Daniel, to remain a father. The State of Arizona is seeking to wrest custody of their four children from him and his wife, Janel, following the tragic death of their two-year old son. He drowned earlier this year in two inches of water in their bathtub. Daniel and Janel are heartbroken already, to be sure, but are now confronted with an attack from the government. Theirs is a family with no history of encounters with law enforcement, drug use, or suspicious emergency room visits. Theirs is a family that is looked to as an example in their church. Theirs is a family in mind-numbing pain, but still a strong family.
For the past several months they have had to have family members with them 24/7, as they are not allowed to be alone with any of their children, even their infant son. The Arizona Department of Child Services has seen fit to keep this “safety monitoring” in place, at great expense to their extended family members, who have been operating as de facto unpaid employees.
Daniel and Janel have already had to refinance their house to address legal bills as they seek to hold onto their children. These bills have been accumulating at a rate of $10,000 a month, an amount which is minimal to the government, but more or less crippling to a family.
Please consider donating to help my grandchildren remain part of a family that lives together and loves each other.
