In the Thick of It--Senior Year
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Nikki, and I'm currently raising funds for emergency housing costs so my daughter and I aren't on the street for her senior year of high school.
In 2018 my mother kicked my three kids and I out of her house in a drunken rage. I was able to secure a position last year that allowed me to go back and get the rest of my things (after she stole what she wanted), placing them in storage. In May 2023 I was laid off from that job, and my unemployment ran out in September 2023. With my savings gone, I am at risk of losing all of our furniture and sentimental things because I have not been able to pay my storage bills and other monthly maintenance bills.
I have exhausted all possible resources and am coming up short. I have applied for emergency grants at school, but have been denied because it's only my first semester. I have been applying to jobs feverishly with no success, and I need $3,500 to make it through the holidays until the next semester begins. I know it's the holidays and times are tough for everyone, but whatever you may be able to share is greatly appreciated. After everything we have been through I don't want to lose it all. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope the holidays treat you well and are full of love.
