A Tribute to Devon Dulaney

On June 19, 2015, Devon Dulaney was lost to a tragic accident. He was only 19 years old when his motorcycle collided into a vehicle that turned into his driving lane. It seemed as if time stopped that night. Friends and family came together on University Blvd in disbelief. The shock shot through Moon Twp as groups of crying friends grew . As Saturday morning arrived, you could feel the sadness in the air. Many accounts have been told of that night, with one witness even stating Devon sacrificed himself to save a friend. The one thing known for sure was that Devon was gone and his family was heartbroken. Devon was a quiet kid to most and sarcastic to those who knew him best. He had the hugest smile that was accompanied by unforgettable dimples. His jet black hair was always styled except for that one little spot, a lifelong beauty mark curteousy of his big sister. For most, the shock has been replaced with sadness. But for his family, they have had so much to deal with, they haven't gotten the downtime the rest of us have had.They knew him best, and loved him most, they need that time. That is who this page is for, his family. As family friends, we all have offered our help, but they are too overwhelmed to ask, not that they would anyway. Just as Devon, they would rather themselves go without than burden others. So we decided to take a step beyond the immediate details. Their loss is unimaginable, their only son and brother. Their bond was one only a few families are fortunate enough to have. We want to see them be able to take their time to remember Devon, to heal themselves, and to cherish all their memories. We all know that financial burdens can prevent that from happening. So if we fall short in our goals but manage to lift the slightest weight from their shoulders, this page was all worth it. A special tribute in Devon 's name is also being planned. While Devon is a donor, we want him to be able to shine down on his family and community that has been so supportive, for years to come.
