Life Saving Immunotherapy Treatment

Donation protected
At the age of 23, I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer that had spread from my pancreas to my liver, lungs and peritoneum.

Now at 26 we have hit a bump in the road that is too great for us to overcome on our own. Chemotherapy is not going to prolong my life for much longer and I have been told that my last hope rests on funding my own immunotherapy treatment, which is very expensive.

Immunotherapy is currently not available on the NHS for pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, however it is excelling in treating melanoma, lung cancer and is coming on leaps and bounds in many others too.
There are many success stories, even with the bleakest of prognosis, seeing ‘incurable’ cancers go in to complete remission.
"Immunology is saving lives. Our groundbreaking research using the body’s immune system to eradicate cancer is so powerful it can last a lifetime. A lifetime that can be so much longer." Taken from Southampton's Centre for Cancer Immunology website.

Pancreatic NET is a rare form of cancer and I have an aggressive, rare form of a rare cancer that pushes all the boundaries.
I have already proven many medical professionals wrong and I want to continue to do that.
I want to make my ‘incurable’ cancer curable and I am so determined to prove them wrong.
Not only for myself but for so many others faced with a poor prognosis.

I have already endured 5 different types of chemo, two major operations and radiotherapy over the past 3 years and although partly successful at the time, the cancer doesn’t give in. Immunotherapy is a totally different way of treating cancer, it teaches the body to recognise the cancer cells and to destroy them using my own immune cells.

The bottom line is I don’t want to die. I have so many things to live for and so many things I want to experience. I only got married three weeks ago and I’m not ready to leave this world just yet.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Please help us by sharing my story and donating if you can to help fund my life saving treatment - every penny is more than I would expect.

If for what ever reason the money raised can’t be used for my treatment, we will be donating to our charities which are, PLANETS who support  pancreatic, liver, colorectal, oesophageal, stomach and neuroendocrine cancer by funding innovative treatments and research, the UK’s first Centre for Cancer Immunology who are funding groundbreaking studies in to new treatments, CLIC Sargent and Teenage Cancer Trust.
