Justin's Road to Recovery

Hi! My name is Heather, and I’m raising money for a good friend facing a long recovery after an accident.

Justin and I go way back… more than 20 years ago when his family moved into a house in my neighborhood. We’ve stayed close throughout the years–playing online video games, having BBQs, watching each others’ kids grow up–and he’s always felt like a brother to me.

On the morning of Friday, August 19th, 2022, Justin was involved in a serious accident on his delivery route that totaled his work truck and landed him in the ICU. He sustained significant injuries, including breaking both of his legs, knees, pelvic bone, and ribs. He underwent surgery to amputate the lower quarter of one leg and is facing multiple other surgeries to repair the rest of his body.

Because of the extent of his injuries, his doctors are unsure what recovery will look like–but it won’t be fast or easy. Justin is now a single father to a Kindergartener without a steady source of income and faces the need to change careers once he’s eventually cleared for work. Despite all of these challenges, Justin still has his usual sense of humor, which is so inspiring!

Although Justin’s life is full of friends and family who love and support him physically and emotionally, we can only provide so much financial support. 100% of donated funds will go directly to Justin to cover his medical expenses and costs of living while he’s recovering and unable to work.
