Help Savana Sturgill Keep Fighting -TEAM SAVANA

Piermont 's very own Savana Sturgill was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukemia/Lymphoma stage 4, that she has been courageously battling since the beginning of November.  Savana is a single mother to six year old Daisy and two year old Mark. She is a loving daughter, a little sister and a very big part of our small Piermont community. Prior to her diagnosis, Savana worked as a private aid, where she selflessly cared for a disabled woman in our town.  


Her medical bills were accumulating tremendously as Savana  at the time had no health insurance and did not qualify for Emergency Medicaid.  (She has since gotten Medicaid) While we know this is a difficult time for her and her loved ones, we are reaching out from our community to yours.   We understand  that  asking  for help is just a small stepping-stone to the long journey Savana has been forced to embark.  However, If you can find it in your hearts to donate even just a little bit, every dollar counts, to help ease the burden and the stress of this disease inflicted for Savana and her family.


While Savana focuses on her road to recovery, Family and Friends came together to form  Team Savana .  We established this fund to help offset her medical expenses and any additional, unforeseen expenses that may arise in regard to her health care.


Please know that this fund is currently being managed by Team Savana,  made up of close friends and family of Savana and on behalf of the Andy K and Friends Charitable Foundation  who is acting as beneficiary until the family can get through this initial emotional period and assume beneficiary status.  Savana will not benefit financially from this effort in anyway as all proceeds will be used to cover her medical expenses directly .   Should a balance remain after her expenses are paid it will be put into a trust fund for Savana's children.
