UPDATE: Thanks to ongoing donations, we have been able to continue helping out with neutering costs this year. Unfortunately though, donations are really slowing down and there are plenty of dogs still in need. Hi everyone! I’m Jasmine, I run a small business pet bakery called Casper’s Corner and am a HUGE advocate for animals.
I’ve teamed up with Jillian Ostrove, CEO of Ruger’s Rescues, a non-profit animal rescue based in California. The guys at Ruger’s Rescues can’t bear to see what’s happening in the UK in regards to the XL Bully ban, so reached out to me to help!
We’ve been raising money to file exemption certificates for families who simply cannot afford it at this time. The cut-off date for applications is noon, 31st January 2023.
So far, we have been able to cover exemption costs for 16 individual XLs (and dogs of type) in need! Until now, we’ve raised funds through an Instagram fundraiser & PayPal donations. However, the Instagram fundraiser will not allow us access to funds until the 25th January, which understandably is very close to the cut-off date for applications. We will use those funds to continue with last-minute exemption help, but at the minute, we’re at a stand still with no donations immediately accessible.
I thought setting up a GoFundMe may be a great way of raising funds quickly, to help more families in need ASAP. As the cut-off date approaches, hundreds of people are struggling to afford the costs & starting to worry about the safety of their dogs.
As and when money is raised, I will post updates with proof of certificates filed, so you can all see the difference you are making to these dogs lives!
