My father had a massive stroke last Monday in the basal ganglia which is part of the brain that controls many functions, which has left devastating effects. He is paralyzed on his right and is fighting for his life. He is in the neuro ICU and has a tube draining his brain, a feeding tube and is on multiple medications. When I spent time alone with him and asked if he wanted to fight, he briefly raised his left hand to say “yes.” He’s a fighter and trying so hard to to recover from this. We so appreciate all of the well wishes, thoughts and any way you may be able to help our family through this very difficult time. I really want to give him every fighting chance.
