My name is Abdalhameed, and I am from Gaza. Before the war began on October 7th, 2023, I had just graduated from medical school, fulfilling my dream of becoming a doctor. I proudly earned my degree, hoping to open my own clinic one day to serve my community. My graduation certificate is included in the photos below as a small reminder of the dreams I once held.

But then everything changed.
The war took away not only my home but also the people I love most. My little cousins, Shahd (9 years old) and Aya (8 years old), lost their father when he was killed during the bombings. They now have no one left to care for them except my mother and me. My own father abandoned us when I was a child, leaving me as the only son to support my mom. But even she was injured—she was shot during the war and struggles daily with the pain.

Now, instead of treating patients in a clinic, my life has been reduced to a desperate struggle for shelter, food, and clean water. We have no safe place to live. We are constantly displaced, moving from one tent to another, and have already been forced to evacuate more than ten times. Each day is a fight for survival.
Despite everything, I carry the weight of my family’s survival on my shoulders. My cousins look up to me as their protector, and my mother still dreams that I can one day practice medicine again. But alone, with nothing, I cannot do this without your help.
Your donations will help us secure:
Shelter and stability for my family and cousins
Food, clean water, and basic necessities
Medical care for my injured mother
A chance to rebuild a future where I can finally use my medical degree to heal others
Even the smallest donation can bring hope back into our lives. Please, if you are able, donate and share this campaign with your family, friends, and networks. Every share could mean another chance at survival and dignity for us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story and for standing with us in these darkest of times.
With gratitude,
Abdalhameed
