Men's Mental Health
Donation protected
My name is Alex.
Next year or so, I’ll be walking over 1,400 miles from Northampton to Alife, Italy to raise awareness for men's mental health.
I lost a friend last year. He was kindest and most loved person by so many. But like too many men, he struggled silently. This walk is my way of carrying his story forward step by step for every man who feels like there's no way out, and for every person who's lost someone too soon.
A few months ago, I sat with someone who told me how walking saved his life. He said, “I felt lost and going for walks helped me through this process" That stuck with me.
So I’m walking. To honour my late friend and men who are going through this struggle. To reflect that search for peace. To show that even in grief, there’s movement. There’s healing.
I won’t walk alone. I’ll be joined by my friend and fellow artist, Denholm. Together, we’ll document this pilgrimage through photography and vlogging, capturing the landscapes, the people we meet, and the quiet in-between moments. When the walk ends, we’ll create a photobook part tribute, part testimony for anyone who's ever felt lost. That will go towards the charities that support men's mental health
So we've challenge ourselves to embark on a grand walk towards our second homes in Italy and we hope you can help and join us on our journey by supporting us in ways that could help our journey continue and support men going through hard times and allowing us to put to the world of breaking that stigma for men talking about their feelings.
How You Can Help
Your support will help us cover:
- Places to sleep each night along the way
- Petrol for a small support van
- Basic supplies and equipment to keep us going
Any remaining funds will be donated to a mental health organisation that directly supports men battling depression and suicidal thoughts.
If you’ve ever felt lost or a loved someone who has this journey is for you.
Thank you for walking with us, in spirit.
