Recently a few Freeport Falcon Football players discovered that one of their teammates was living in a home with no heat or water. The family survived last winter by crowding around space heaters and conserving bottled water.
These boys do not want their “brother” to have to face another cold Maine winter living in these conditions. Their coach, parents, and members of the RSU5 community are taking steps to help out.
A trusted contractor was contacted, assessed the structural damage to the family’s home, and estimates the repairs will cost $20,000. We are looking to raise these funds as fast as possible so we can rectify the situation before the snow flies
Please help us ensure that this star student at our high school, his mother, and his brothers can stay warm at night this winter and that they can head to school and work with the benefits of running water.
On behalf of the Freeport Falcon Football Players,
Thank you!
