Our Friend Needs our Help!
Whether you know Michelle Bynum from growing up in Detroit, from your days with her at the University of Miami, from work or from church, you know we have a special one on our hands. Wherever the location, whatever the era, I can undoubtedly assume she plays a special part in your life.
As many of you know, Michelle is a loyal friend, an exceptionally talented writer, an avid concert goer, extremely funny, and an all-around great human being. What many of you may not know is that in June 2021, our dear friend Michelle was shocked to receive a diagnosis of uterine cancer.
Because this was detected early, Michelle’s Dr. is optimistic she will pull through like a champ. I can’t say this has been easy for her nor that she hasn’t fallen apart at times, but she is ABSOLUTELY NOT LETTING THIS DEFEAT HER!
Most of us know the implications something like this can have on someone's life. The overwhelming anxiety that comes with worrying about your health and your future shouldn't be accompanied with the anxiety of paying off medical expenses and depleting your savings to do so.
It almost goes without saying that Michelle is not big on asking for or receiving help. The good thing is that she is surrounded by passionate and determined individuals who will stop at nothing to give it to her despite that fact.
