HEFY Humanitarian Trip- Paraguay
Donation protected
This year I have the chance to participate in an exciting service opportunity with Humanitarian Experience for Youth (HEFY). I will have the opportunity to travel to Paraguay to serve underdeveloped communities in the town of Luque. The group will be composed of about 10 young adults and 2 chaperones from all over the US and Canada and we will work in partnership with local representatives. All participants are responsible for covering the cost of their trip, which will pay for travel to and from the country, food, and lodging, and for the projects we will be working on. My goal is to raise $3500 in contributions to HEFY. To raise travel funds, I’m currently doing many fundraising activities such as babysitting, selling clothes and homemade jewelry, in addition to reaching out to family and friends to help. This is not a luxury trip; I will be working hard but I am excited about the opportunity to share my time, talents and energy with others. I also expect to learn a lot about the culture and myself as I work alongside members of the community. I hope that you will consider helping me make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate by donating to this humanitarian cause. Any amount will help and all donations to HEFY are tax deductible. You can visit the Humanitarian Experience for Youth website at hefy.org to find out more about the program, see pictures of past expeditions, and read what previous participants have said about the experience. Thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to blessing lives through service and sharing this experience with you when I return!
