Help Eric Fight Cancer

Hi, my name is Cynthia and I'm fundraising for Eric Gose.

HISTORY: After fighting throat cancer two years ago, Eric not only found a hole in his heart but also found out he has Stage 4 lung cancer about three weeks ago. Some throat cancer cells survived after the treatment 2 years ago and came back with a vengeance in 2023. Around October 13th Eric was checked in at Seton Hospital and was soon thereafter administered the first round of chemotherapy. On Monday, October 23rd, he went to Central Texas Rehab and they're were helping him to learn to eat again and to build up his breath.

His wife, Kat, has been by his side when he was at Seton and at the Rehab facility. She writes to me in a text, "He's so beautiful inside and out. If love could cure him, he'd be on his e-bike right now."

Eric has started the remaining 5 rounds of chemotherapy at home and will be at home for the holidays...well, until Friday night, after Thanksgiving, November 25th, 2023. Eric's been admitted to Seton for a blood transfusion and fluids and being treated for thrush (due to the medications he's on). His immune system tanked, says Kat. Saturday, they put in a PICC line to give Eric nutrition and fluids because he can't swallow. His thrush wasn't going away so they did an endoscopy on Monday and found a secondary viral infection in his esophagus and gave medication for that, too. On Wednesday they put in a PEG tube to tube feed him so he will get some nutrition. It's been a trying week for Eric and Kat. They ask for more prayers.

The funds you donate will help the Gose's pay for Out-Of-Network medical bills and Eric's large medical deductible. I increased the financial goal Thanksgiving weekend to $22,500 to continue to help them with the on-going medical expenses.
