Help Lauren and Her Family
Donation protected
Anyone who knows Lauren Glase knows that she is a living, breathing Earth Angel. She is incredibly kind, patient, creative, nurturing, faithful, and funny; she has a warm, infectious smile that lights up any room she enters. But, most importantly, she is a wonderful wife to James and the world’s most amazing mother to Jameson, Wyatt, and Autumn.
Whoever meets Lauren feels her warmth and she is truly a reflection of Jesus. She will do anything to help anyone, has such a giving heart and now is our time to help her and show our love for her.
On August 6, 2022, Lauren was flying to Texas for a family visit with her oldest son, Jameson, and had a seizure mid-flight. Upon arrival, Lauren was rushed to the hospital, where they found a large mass in her brain. Unfortunately, the mass had been slowly growing for a very long time and infiltrated deep into the frontal lobe, left temporal lobe, and insular region of her brain.
With the help of prayer, family, and friends.. Lauren was connected with Dr. Lang at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas and met with his team on Monday, August 22nd.
On Thursday, August 25, 2022, Lauren underwent a 15-hour brain surgery. She was under anesthesia for roughly half the surgery while they removed as much of the mass from the insular region as they could. For the last half, they performed an awake craniotomy to delicately remove the mass surrounding the parts of her brain responsible for speech and motor function.
It should come as no surprise that she has been an absolute rock star through it all. Her faith is unwavering, and she has held strong to God’s plan. She is doing EVERYTHING in her power to get back home to her babies as quickly as possible. Through God‘s grace, we were given a miracle in Lauren’s surgery going as well as it did.
Her health has been improving every day since the surgery, but she still has a long journey ahead of her. Once they determine the specifics of the tumor, they will form a treatment plan and go from there.
Lauren would do anything for anyone. She truly is one of God’s earthly disciples, and we would love any kind of support you are able to give their family during this time.
Even with good health insurance, long-term illnesses are extraordinarily expensive. Please consider donating what you can, and feel free to pass this GoFundMe link along to encourage others to do the same! Also, please pray for Lauren and her beautiful family whenever you think of them. Thank you, and God bless!
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
-Isaiah 43:2
“I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”
