Join Chakro's Fight Against Bone Cancer

Hello everyone,

On May 22nd, my 7-year-old furry best friend, Chakro, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a fast-progressing bone cancer. Chakro's best chance at a quality life is to have his front leg amputated. Chakro has been a loyal companion through all the ups and downs of my life, and now I hope to do my best to support him through this challenging journey.

7 years ago, I walked into the Madison, WI humane society with no intentions of going home with a dog. I simply wanted to visit and give the pups some love. I pointed out a skinny dog, who was brought into the visiting room, and despite him being absolutely terrified and peeing everywhere, he eventually sat on my lap. This would turn out to be my boy, adopted officially Halloween of 2017.

The funds raised through this campaign will cover the costs of the surgery (estimated at $1400), post-operative care, medications, and any other essentials to ensure his comfort during recovery.
