Copper needs surgery
Donation protected
Last weekend, Copper was involved in a devastating accident, when a truck accidentally drove over his head. It is remarkable our boy even made it to the hospital following the accident, and even more miraculously, has not lost any brain function, despite the rest of the injuries he has as a result of the aftermath. Copper broke his jaw on both sides, has several fractures throughout his face and head, has a cracked skull near his brain, a crushed cheekbone on one side, a crushed nasal cavity, and puncture wounds on his bottom jaw/neck from his collar pins. Miraculously, Copper did not have any swelling or bleeding near his brain, and his cognitive response still shows as unscathed. He will need to have surgery to realign his jaw, have a plate put in for stability, have a tooth removed, repair the crack in his skull, repair his nasal cavity, and have bone fragments removed from being shattered. Our little family is beyond grateful that Copper is at home with us in the meantime, and have been told that with this surgery, his quality of life will not be affected. We surprised our kids with Copper last Christmas, and just one short year later, can’t imagine having to say goodbye. Financially, this is of course stressful after the year we’ve had, and we hate to even ask, but you you are able to contribute to Copper’s surgery fund, we would be forever grateful. Every little bit counts thank you for taking the time to read our story
