Empower a disabled man's independence via an ebike

Hello, my name is Robert. I was born with a rare form of nerve degeneration that's affected my eyesight. It is degenerative, but for now I still have low vision. Due to my low vision I'm unable to get my driver’s license, which has not only been a source of hardship, it has also lead to my feeling cut off from the world, a decline in my health and a general source of sadness and depression that has been hard to overcome. I’ve been wanting to join a gym and get in shape, but I have no easy way of getting there, so I decided that I need a bike. So I went to my local bike shop and started looking around. Being low income as well, I began by looking at the more affordable bicycles. They were fine, but I found them a bit hard to ride. In the past, my vision was much better and I didn't find it as difficult to ride a bike. Now, being 36 years old, with a few more pounds on me, a lot more wear on my knees and much worse vision, just riding around that little parking lot was not only tiring, but it was also very difficult to not fall over and I could easily see how I might get hurt. I’ve thought about getting an electric bike for years, but the cost was too high for my budget. Since I was already at the bike shop, and they had electric bikes there I figured I might as well try one out. I'm so glad I did! It felt like I was 20 years old again! I could easily move, swerving between potholes and puddles, skidding to a stop and propelling forward again with little to no effort, and this was only on the 1st setting. Now this I could do! The difference was amazing! I'd like to be able to get reliable transportation. I'd like to get back in shape. I'd like to have my life back. I believe an ebike would do this for me. If I could afford this on my own I wouldn't be asking for help. Currently, my monthly income pays for my housing and not much more, which is why I’m reaching out this way. If you could also share my link that would be great.

Thanks in advance for any donation you can make. I truly appreciate any amount ❤️

The electric bicycle I would like to get is a
Level.2 Commuter Ebike
from Aventon - $1799

As I'm not a small man, I need a better built bike to suit my needs. Unfortunately that costs more.

I would also like to get insurance on it, a good bicycle helmet, bike lock and an extra battery.

I figure conservatively, the donation amount I listed will cover the cost, especially since I'll be looking for sales periods, promo codes, etc.
