Battersea Dogs and Cats Charity

Hi my name is Abbie, I’m raising money for Battersea Dogs and Cats home. I’m doing this by taking part in a bungee jump in London from a crane on Saturday 17th May 2025.

Having lost my family dog, I wanted to raise money for dogs/cats who are in need of the same love that Pablo had in the time that he was with us. Pablo loved staying near the Battersea Dogs and Cats rehoming centre in London and enjoyed seeing them all on their walks away from the centre. Pablo wasn’t rescued but he ultimately rescued us instead, teaching us about loyalty, love, strength and compassion. I wanted to make the jump meaningful for this very reason.

WE'RE HERE FOR EVERY DOG AND CAT

At Battersea we offer our love and expert care to dogs and cats who need us by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals at our centres, and by sharing our knowledge and resources with rescue organisations around the world. We do this because we want to help every dog and cat, everywhere.

REHABILITATING DOGS AND CATS IN NEED

From our hydrotherapy facilities and state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, to the small but essential acts of loving care carried out every day, rehabilitation is an integral part of the work we do at our three centres to get animals back on their feet and ready for the next chapter.

For many animals this is as straightforward as a check-up, for others it may involve extensive treatment or time spent in our foster homes. But whatever it is, we'll be here for every dog and cat for as long as they need us.

NEVER TURNING A DOG OR CAT AWAY

We’re proud of our non-selective intake policy and animal charter, which means we take in any animal regardless of age, breed or medical condition (but subject to space). Our animals come from many places including people, local authorities, other rescue centres and animal partners. And we welcome them all without judgement.
