Help get Patty mobile again

My name is Patty and I have spent most of my life educating children in the public school system. However, my life changed dramatically when I found that I needed total hip replacement surgery. After a week in the hospital I graduated to spending several weeks in aquatic therapy. I had begun, unexpectedly, to feel like a thousand needles were pricking my feet every moment of every day. I was enduring unbearable burning and tingling sensations that was not going away. It was at this point that I realized that this was not normal and I needed answers. My life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with neuropathy/diabetic nerve pain. I can barely walk to the bathroom without a painful grimace - let alone go outside, take a walk, or play with my granddaughter. I miss the days when I could do anything I wanted without a second thought. Now, every step I take feels like I'm walking on broken glass. I can't even sleep at night because the pain keeps me up. But that’s not even the worst part.
- What pains me the most is that I must rely on others to do even the simplest tasks. I hate feeling like a burden, but I don't know what else to do. I have always strived to be self-sufficient, but due to these unforeseen circumstances, I find myself in a position where I am in need of help. Will you consider donating $20 to my fundraiser to help me get a wheelchair? I would appreciate help in anyway to help offset medical, travel, food, and regular household expenses. Thank you in advance for your support and prayers!
