This fundraising effort will directly support Ukrainian humanitarian needs through the Sukup Family Foundation.
____________________________________________________________________
In light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, The Sukup Family Foundation is launching a new charitable program to assist individuals who are experiencing hardship and suffering related to the Russian invasion. Assistance, whether by providing funds, goods, or services, will target employees and their families of Sukup Manufacturing Co. and its affiliates who are in need of relief, whether immediately or over time.
Although the genesis of this new program Global Disaster Relief Fund is based on the current Ukrainian conflict, the Foundation’s intention is to raise funds to assist Sukup (and its affiliates’) employees and their families overcome similar disasters around in the globe in the future. There will be an objective determination of the extent that assistance is warranted and simply by being an employee of Sukup or its affiliate living in the area does not automatically qualify an individual for assistance.
The Sukup Family Foundation is a private Iowa nonprofit corporation that is exempt from income tax as a Section 501(c)(3) organization, classified as a private foundation. Contributions are used to support individuals and families in need and cannot be earmarked for a specific person or family. Control of the funds is within the Foundation. Your contribution may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and the Foundation will acknowledge receipt of any contribution by providing the donor with a written statement. The Foundation advises you to seek your own legal and tax advice in connection with gift and income tax planning matters. The Foundation does not provide legal or tax advice.
