Urgent breast augmentation
Donation protected
Hi peeps,
My name is Vix, and I am posting this request in aid of my fiancée Kelly . So here's a little bit of our back story and why we're asking for help via go fund me .
My lovely partner is a post-op transgender woman and she was lucky enough to have the surgery she'd always dreamed of 18 yrs ago, undergoing no less than 12 procedures including both breast augmentation and full 'GRS'.
Kelly is a funny, bubbly, intelligent and to me " perfect woman ". So you're probably thinking now, well what could the problem be then and why do you need help from others .
This is where it gets tricky. Kelly also suffers from bipolar disorder, she can have good days, get up, wash, dress, go out etc but also there are bad days, which normally results in Kelly hiding away from the world, not getting out of bed, emotionally becoming very depressed, even suicidal.
Kelly has served in the UK Armed Forces in many parts of the world, both as a regular service person and as a reservist, then worked for Rethink Mental Illness, helping to address inequality in access and barriers to access to mental health services for BAME and LGBTQIA people. She then moved to the NHS working as an Equality and Diversity Manager for a local Community Health Trust. Unfortunately, due to mounting issues with her own Bipolar Disorder, she had to give up work.
Rather than sitting idle she volunteered to help with the Sea Cadet Corps as Commanding Officer of a unit, but has been forced to give even this up.
As you may imagine, she has fought her way through significant difficulties at times but she has recently been hit by potentially the most challenging episode she has faced so far.
Normally, breast implants should be replaced at around the ten year mark, but they can be left for a year or two longer than this provided they are still serviceable. As mentioned, Kelly is now approaching her 19th year post op and has therefore far exceeded the recommended lifespan. She did get checked after this point regularly , and no issues had occurred, until 18 months ago. Kelly has gradually been suffering more and more pain and discomfort, stemming from crystallisation and hardening around the implant. We have been advised that this will only worsen with time, with the added risk of a rupture. She needs to have her implants replaced as soon as possible.
While her initial surgeries were all provided by the NHS, she has now found out that any follow up surgeries are not funded. And we are really struggling to raise even a portion of the funds needed for the procedure. I, myself do not work as I am Kelly's carer.
Predictably, this is really starting to have a negative impact on Kelly's mental health and as stated above , could majorly affect her general health and I am increasingly concerned for her well-being, mentally and physically.
Please, please, can you help! Even the smallest of donations will be sooo helpful and most gratefully appreciated!!!, we both feel that this site is an amazing way for all of us around the world to help each other , and make a happier world overall . Lastly we would like to thank you , for taking the time to read our GoFundMe.
we hope you can support us to reach our goal .
